Speech-Language Evaluation - Who Should Be Seen
  Many individuals can benefit from speech therapy. The following are areas of concern that may indicate a need for a speech-language evaulation and speech therapy.

•Children who have not acquired a 50 word expressive vocabulary
•Language learning difficulties (slow development of vocabulary, concepts, and grammar)
•Poor articulation
•Speech is not easily understood by unfamiliar listeners
•Stuttering that persists longer than 3 to 6 months or is particularly severe or is a parental concern
•Difficulty following spoken directions or understanding
•Possible signs of autism
